Seeds of desperation scattered
Grew too quickly
The sapling whipping core
Piercing slender brittle bones
Flesh already devoured by pain
Roots inhaling soul
Ingraining onto my heart
As the sun and dew come
As they force me to change
I feel my grip loosening
No longer the same
Tree growing inside
Replacing who I am
Branches grasp my outer skin
No longer can I be seen
